First Friday Nights kicks off cool tunes on a warm evening
Friday Nights Live Concert series kicked off summer for Murfreesboro with Justin Kirk and Company performing a list of favorite country hits from the past. And the series will continue to offer cool tunes through the hot months of June, July, August and September on the Rutherford County Courthouse square.
The Friday Night Live concert series is held one Friday night each month in downtown Murfreesboro. The events welcomes visitors to bring chairs, blankets and enjoy dancing. Food trucks are available around the courthouse and multiple downtown locally owned restaurants will keep their doors open.
Friday Night Live series began 16 years ago, sponsored by Main Street Murfreesboro, to host live, free music to the downtown public square. The goals of the series is to "bringing tourism downtown and creating a sense of place for our community these free concerts are gathering spaces for all ages," according to MSM's website.

June 2 — Justin Kirk (country)
July 7 — Entice (R&B)
Aug. 4 — Monsters of Yacht (Yacht Rock)
Sept. 15 — Ultimate Oldies (oldies)
