Sir Patrick Stewart Returns To 'Star Trek'
The upcoming series marks the return of Sir Patrick Steward to the Star Trek franchise after the end of Next Generation. The iconic Enterprise captain Jean-Luc Picard is one of the figureheads of Star Trek history, and fans are absolutely losing it at the return of the Earl Grey tea drinking hero.
Old Favorites Return
Stewart isn't the only cast member from the original TV series who will be featured in Picard. Brent Spiner's Data and Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine appear in the trailer, and it was confirmed during the panel that Jonathan Frakes' Riker and Marina Sirtis' Troi will appear at some point in the season.
Trekkies Are Losing It
There are few fandoms as deeply passionate as Star Trek's, and it looks like Picard might be the return to classic roots that the fans deserve. The trailer hits all kinds of emotional beats to perfection, so 2020 can't be here soon enough.
