First J.Lo, Now Dua Lipa Is Making the Denim Boot Happen

Last year, when Jennifer Lopez learned she had won the career-defining MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, she stepped out that day in a celebratory pair of over-the-knee Versace denim boots. The shoes, which mimic a pair of blue jeans (faux back pocket and belt loops included), were a cheeky addition to an otherwise classic white shirt dress.

Now, Dua Lipa, ever the fashion risk-taker, has put her own spin on the slouchy boots: the pop star lounged atop a bed in London in head-to-toe stone wash denim, which she finished off with those very same Versace shoes (though Lipa’s are a few shades lighter than the ones that Lopez wore). J.Lo might have done it first, but Lipa’s take on them is even more luxurious: who else would lay in bed, cup of tea in hand, in designer boots? It might be the last day of London Fashion Week, but Lipa’s clearly unbothered; she looks fit for the front row, even from the comfort of her bedroom.
