First Look Images From Jacob Elordi & Barry Keoghan's Steamy Thriller

We finally have new information about the queer thriller Saltburn!

The new movie, set in the early 2000s at Oxford University, was written and directed by Oscar-winner Emerald Fennell of Promising Young Woman fame and she also produced it alongside Barbie’s Margo Robbie.

According to Amazon Studios the film is a "beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire," starring Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) as Oliver Quick, a struggling Oxford student who is pulled into the world of the “charming and aristocratic” Felix Catton. Felix, played by Jacob Elordi (Euphoria) invites Oliver to the titular Saltburn, "his eccentric family’s sprawling estate” where the two young men dive into “a summer never to be forgotten."

Rumor has it that the film will also include explicit love scenes and lots of nudity.

Fennel’s much anticipated sophmore feature also stars Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and reunites the director with Promising Young Woman’s Carey Mulligan.

The first two images from the film have been released and have really piqued fans' interest.

The first seems to show Felix on a balcony wearing a robe that is falling off his nude shoulders as he looks out on the garden of his parent’s mansion that was clearly the site of a wild party.

In the second image from the film, two men (presumably Felix and Oliver) are lounging in swim shorts in the grass while a woman (possibly Mulligan) relaxes in front of them and the mansion looms large in the background.

Fans took to social media to share their excitement about the release of these first-look snapshots. “Oh we are about to EEEEEAT,” on fan commented on Twitter.

"These two photos from Saltburn speak volumes on how delicious and wicked it will be," another person wrote.

And some were far less subtle about what they're hoping the movie will be. One person commented, "We want 40 minutes uninterrupted steamy sex scene with holes and poles."

Saltburn will have its international premiere on Oct. 4 when it opens the 67th BFI London Film Festival and will have a wide release in theaters on Nov. 24.

BFI festival director Kristy Matheson told Variety that the film is full of “exceptional performances, delicious plot twists and a soundtrack of early 21st century pop bangers.”
