First look at The Last Ship's Jodie Turner-Smith as Anne Boleyn in new drama

The Last Ship's Jodie Turner-Smith has been spotted filming her new Tudor England-set drama, which sees her portray Henry VIII's ill-fated second wife Anne Boleyn.
The model-turned-actor is set to play the Queen in what Channel 5 is describing as a 'convention-defying' take on the story.
Consisting of three parts and being framed as a psychological thriller, the outing will reportedly concentrate on Boleyn's downfall and put a modern, feminist spin on the last five months of her life.

While the on-set snaps don't reveal all that much, fans can glimpse Turner-Smith in era-appropriate headgear and a black dress.
In the show, she'll appear alongside the likes of I May Destroy You's Paapa Essiedu, Amanda Burton (White House Farm), Thalissa Teixeira (Two Weeks to Live), Barry Ward (White Lines) and Hamilton's Jamael Westman.
"Delving deeper into Anne Boleyn's immense strengths while examining her fatal weaknesses and vulnerabilities, [writer] Eve [Hedderwick Turner]'s scripts immediately captured my imagination," Turner-Smith has said.
Producers Faye Ward and Hannah Farrell continued: "We feel that history has sidelined the voice of this ambitious Queen in favour of the men who brought her down, and that [director] Lynsey Miller's beautiful, intimate vision will put Anne's gaze at the heart of the piece."
Commissioner Ben Frow teased earlier this year: "It was simply too irresistible to say no to."
