First look at Peaky Blinders star's new ITV crime drama

ITV has unveiled a first look at new crime drama After the Flood, starring Peaky Blinders and Gentleman Jack star Sophie Rundle.
The six-part mystery drama follows a young police officer who is caught up in the midst of a destructive flood in her Yorkshire town. An investigation shortly unfolds, threatening to expose the locals' secrets.
"When an unidentified man is found dead in a lift in an underground car park, police assume he became trapped as the waters rose," reads the official synopsis for the series.

"As the investigation unfolds, PC Joanna Marshall (played by Rundle) becomes obsessed with discovering what happened to him. How did he get in the lift and why does no one know who he is?
"The mystery in After the Flood unfolds across the series while we also see the real impact of climate change on the lives of residents in this small town. The floods threaten to expose secrets, and fortunes and reputations are at stake.
"But how far will people go to protect themselves?"
Tense first look images show Rundle as PC Marshall, as she processes the devastating effects of the flooding.
Other stars in the series include The Crown's Nicholas Gleaves, Belgravia's Philip Glenister, Bridgerton's Lorraine Ashbourne, Ridley's Jacqueline Boatswain, Cursed's Matt Stokoe and The Bay's Jonas Armstrong.

The thriller is written by BAFTA-nominated writer Mick Ford and is executive produced by Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee for award-winning production company Quay Productions.
"These images perfectly set the significant tone for After the Flood. I know viewers will be both gripped and moved by the story we are telling," said Rundle whilst filming the series earlier this year.
"A story brought to life by the brilliantly talented team I am surrounded by, both on and off-screen."
After the Flood will premiere on January 10 on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK, followed by an international premiere on BritBox later in 2024. Peaky Blinders is available to stream on BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
