The former captain of the Enterprise is facing off with his all-powerful nemesis once again.

A new teaser trailer for the second season of “Star Trek: Picard” was released Wednesday, and gives us our first look at John de Lancie as the sometimes villainous, often troublemaking Q.

“Welcome, my friend, to the very end of the road not taken,” and older-looking Q says in the trailer.

The popular character was first introduced in the pilot episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” back in 1987. His return to the Trek universe on Paramount+ was announced earlier this year.

Little was revealed in the trailer about what to expect in the second season of the hit spin-off series. However, the trailer suggests “time has been broken,” sparking changes that will impact Picard and his new crew.

The teaser was released on Captain Picard Day, a fictional holiday first featured on an episode of “The Next Generation,” which Paramount+ celebrates on June 16.

Jeri Ryan, who played Seven of Nine in “Star Trek: Voyager” and reprised the role in the first season of “Picard,” is also featured in the trailer. However, she appears without her cybernetic implants, which suggests the character will have to unite with Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard in order to put things back to the way they were.

Series regulars Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, and Santiago Cabrera along with Orla Brady.

Trek alum Brent Spiner, who wasn’t in the trailer, is also expected to return for “Star Trek: Picard” second season, which will debut on Paramount+ in 2022.
