Rebooted as The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Penny Proud and her friends are ready to take on the world, speak their minds, and try to figure out who they are in brand new episodes of the series. Since you've probably already finished binge-watching the entire series on Disney+, it's time to get ready for the next chapter.

Is there a trailer for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder?

Yes! Disney+ unveiled the trailer in January 2022. All of the Proud family returns, including Penny, Oscar, Trudy, Uncle Bobby, and yes, Suga Mama. The two-minute clip shows 14-year-old Penny butting heads once again with her father, Oscar. Suga Mama is up to her usual iconic antics, putting her son in his place. Who is returning to the reboot?

I’m excited for all of it," the actress told Cosmopolitan in an interview.

Tommy Davidson returns as Penny's overbearing but loving father, Oscar Proud. Will the theme song for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder be the same as the original?

🎶The Proud, Proud, familyyyyyy🎶 Who can forget the iconic Proud Family theme song, performed by Destiny's Child and Solange Knowles? While the track for Louder and Prouder sounds similar, it received a few 2022 upgrades. This time, it's sung by rising R&B artist Joyce Wrice. The musician shared the news on Twitter, writing that she is "a huge fan of the original series."

"The theme song is very similar to the original," Wrice said in an interview with Disney+. "The production, the beat is different — just want to put a little bit of my own twist to it and pay my dues and respect to Destiny's Child and Kurt [Farquhar, The Proud Family songwriter and composer] and everyone on the original."

On selecting Joyce Wrice for this role, executive producer Ralph Farquhar shared: "If we were to imagine Penny Proud as a pop star, that's who she would be."

When will The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder be released?

The reboot will start airing on Disney+ on February 23, 2022. A subscription to the streaming service is $7.99/month, or $79.99/year.
