First pitch for Cleveland Guardians home opener set
CLEVELAND (WJW) – Play ball!
The Cleveland Guardians home opener – which coincides on the same day as the total solar eclipse – is set for April 8.
First pitch is planned for 5:10 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox.

Gates will open at 2 p.m. for the opener, due to expected traffic surrounding the eclipse that day.
The eclipse will darken skies over Northeast Ohio for a few minutes starting at 3:13 p.m.
Single game tickets go on sale Friday – 216 Day (February 16) at 10 a.m. HERE.
Tickets must be purchased online while the renovations are underway at Progressive Field.
