First Responder Bowl: Memphis WR Javon Ivory out vs Utah State
DALLAS -- Memphis football will be without junior wide receiver Javon Ivory for the First Responder Bowl Tuesday (2:15 p.m., ESPN), a team spokesperson confirmed. Ivory's arm was in a sling as he stood on the sidelines during pregame stretching.
Ivory is the Tigers' second leading receiver with 586 yards and tied for the team lead with 46 receptions. He's started every game this season.

The Tigers (6-6) will likely start junior Joseph Scates in his place. Scates did not play in the team's final two regular season games but coach Ryan Silverfield said he was healthy and available for Tuesday's game.
Fellow starting receivers Eddie Lewis and Gabriel Rogers were present and participated during warmups.
The Tigers face Utah State (6-6) at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. A win gives Memphis its second consecutive bowl win after winning the 2020 Montgomery Bowl and the 2021 Hawaii Bowl was canceled.
