MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — It’s time for another edition of News13’s First Responder Friday, a segment recognizing a first responder from the Grand Strand or Pee Dee.

This week’s nominee is Capt. Aurelius Cribb with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Cribb supervises the patrol division.

He began his law enforcement career in January 2000 with the Marion Police Department and was there until February 2017.

He served in the Marion County Combined Drug Unit from 2001 to 2018 and joined the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in February 2017.

Prior to his service in law enforcement, Cribb served his country in the United States Army from August 1989 to April 1996 and with the South Carolina National Guard from April 1996-2010.

Cribb has been deployed to Croatia, Somalia and Iraq. He spent time at Fort Stewart and Fort Bragg and was proud to serve as paratrooper. He’s a beloved son, brother to 4 siblings and an identical twin brother.

Colleagues say he brings an invaluable work ethic and skills to the job and his dedication to service is unparalleled.
