First responders deliver baby in Clark County fire station

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — First responders helped deliver a baby at a Clark County fire station Tuesday night.

Portland-region thaw will ramp up Friday afternoon

Officials say five firefighters were on duty when a woman in labor and her husband arrived at Station 35 in Battle Ground.

The crew moved her to their training room and assisted in delivering a healthy baby boy, said officials from Clark County Fire District 3.

Both the mother and newborn were then transferred by EMS to the hospital for proper follow-up care.

“The mom and baby are both doing well after their big night,” officials said.
