The first trailer for “Jurassic World” dropped two days ahead of schedule Tuesday, offering the first glimpse into the prehistoric world reengineered by director Steven Spielberg 1993 and revisited by Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Spielberg as executive producer in 2015.

Jurassic World will be the fourth film installment in the fictional world first envisioned by author Michael Crichton in the novel Spielberg co-opted for the first film. More so than the sequels since, “Jurassic World” hearkens back to the original throughout the trailer with items scattered throughout the park (the gate at 0:36 and helmet at 1:52) and the music, which is a hauntingly simplified take on the original theme from ’93.

The plot is also an expansion of the original, with Bryce Dallas Howard playing a scientist who has not just cloned dinosaurs, but given genetically engineered birth to a new one, which hunter Chris Pratt must fend off after it inevitably gets loose on the island.
