Designated Survivor's Kiefer Sutherland headlines the first trailer for upcoming spy series Rabbit Hole.

Launching Sunday, March 26 on Paramount+ in the US, and a day later in the UK, with the first two of its eight episodes, the action follows master of deception John Weir (that's Sutherland), who's framed for murder "by powerful forces" capable of influencing populations.

Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Meta Golding (The Hunger Games), Enid Graham (Mare of Easttown), Jason Butler Harner (Ozark), Rob Yang (Succession) and Walt Klink (The English) co-star in supporting roles.

The trailer itself (above) sees John threatening a security guard with a remote-controlled explosive device before being recruited to save the world.

Sutherland's moving in slightly different territory here than to his iconic counter-terrorism days in 24, as Rabbit Hole plunges him into corporate espionage.

The show belongs to writers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (This is Us), who also direct and executive produce.

"I've been an admirer of John Requa and Glenn Ficarra's unique body of work for some time, and I'm thrilled to be working on this exciting new project with them and Paramount Plus," Sutherland said at the time of the show's announcement, while the two scribes returned the compliment.

"From the moment we conceived this paranoid thriller, we immediately thought of Kiefer. We're thrilled to partner with him, Paramount Plus, Charlie [Gogolak] and Suzan [Bymel] to bring this show to life," Requa and Ficarra jointly shared in a statement.

Rabbit Hole's double-episode premiere is scheduled for March 26 in the US and March 27 in the UK.
