First train after de-occupation on Balakliya departs Kharkiv
The railbus was almost completely filled with passengers returning home, Ukrzaliznytsia said.
"The first trip to Balakliya — and immediately a full carriage of passengers returning home,” the company said.
“We’re already imagining the first journeys to Donetsk and Simferopol.”

The railbus will now regularly operate between the cities of Kharkiv and Balakliya.
Train № 6403/6402 Kharkiv-Balakliya-Kharkiv will depart daily from Kharkiv at 07:00 a.m. and arrive in Balakliya at 08:55 a.m. From Balakliya it will depart at 09:15 a.m. and arrive in Kharkiv at 11:10 a.m.
Train number 6407/6404 will depart daily from Kharkiv at 03:50 p.m. and arrive in Balakliya at 05:40 p.m. From Balakliya it will depart at 06:00 p.m. and arrive in Kharkiv at 07:55 p.m.
The train will stop at Osnova, Zhyhor, Zmiyiv, Zanky and Shebelynka stations. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices and from conductors during the trip.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv Oblast, which had been under occupation for six months, on Sept. 8.
The National Police reported that Russian troops tortured residents of Balakliya. The Russians always held at least 40 people captive, who were usually found through local collaborators. The enemy was looking for those who served or had relatives in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, or helped the Ukrainian army.

Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration has urged local residents not to rush to return to the de-occupied settlements, but wait until their territories are demined.
