BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Lenten season begins on Wednesday, meaning Western New Yorkers will be flocking in search of their favorite fish fry on Ash Wednesday and Fridays until Easter.
More than a hundred local restaurants, churches and community organizations will be offering the commodity with varied availability ranging from daily to weekly. The list of places serving fish fry during Lent is below, organized by region. You can also search for spots near you in our interactive map.
