Noblesville man charged in 2022 road rage shooting files guilty plea in deal with state

Update: Trevor Dahl filed a guilty plea June 1 to his attempted murder charge in the road rage shooting case, according to Hamilton County court records. As part of his plea, the state dismissed his remaining charges of aggravated battery, criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm. His sentence will be determined by the court. Dahl's next court appearance is June 9, 2023.

Fishers police have arrested a Noblesville man who allegedly shot another driver in a road rage incident Thursday evening.

Trevor Dahl, 24, Noblesville, has been arrested on felony charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm after police say he shot another driver near 96th Street and Hague Road shortly before 9 p.m. Nov. 17 in an encounter that Fishers police described in a release as road rage.

The man who was shot was headed westbound on 96th St. in a black Honda when Dahl shot him from another vehicle, police said.

The shooting caused the Honda driver to lose control of his vehicle and crash into another car. The Honda driver was taken to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury and the other driver was treated on the scene

By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene.Fishers police credited the Flock Safety Camera System, which can read license plates, with helping them identify the suspect.

Dahl is being held in Hamilton County jail.
