Fishing tournament: Bret Lingo finished first, Greg Montgomery earns Mr. Bass Award

COSHOCTON − Three Rivers Bassmasters fishing club had its Bass Classic tournament recently on Burr Oak Lake. It's a special year-end tournament where members qualify based on their participation during the regular season.

Six members competed with Bret Lingo finshing first with 5.40 pounds. He also had the big bass with 3.66 pounds. Herb Stevens was second with 1.63 pounds.

Greg Montgomery earned the Mr. Bass Award for 2023 by finishing the season first in points over 10 regular season tournaments.

The year end club meeting will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Hardee's 325 S. Second St. Membership is open to anyone 18 or older.
