Fishing tournaments: 17-pound stringer wins Kissimmee Bass Series One-Man

Tracy Bray had 17.57 pounds to win first place during the Kissimmee Bass Series One-Man tournament Nov. 19 on the Kissimmee Chain. Rodney Hunter was second with 16.81 pounds. Steven Coleman took big bass with an 8.42-pounder.

Andy Krantz and Clayton Keene had 13.54 pounds and big bass to win first place in the Senior Division of the Lakeland Junior Hawg Hunters tournament Nov. 13 on the Kissimmee Chain. Brody Hedges and Max Ladner had 11.47 pounds to place second. Michael Williams took third place with 6.61 pounds. In the Junior Division, Jaxon Johnson and Brayden Tyler had 14.83 pounds and big bass with a 6.38-pounder to win first place. Levi McQuillen had 14.04 pounds to place second. Wyatt Keene and Timmy Krantz were third with 13.01 pounds.

Riley Miller and Rick Miller had 23.83 pounds to win the Bass N Boats season-ending classic Nov. 19-20 on Lake Panasoffkee. Stan Landuit and Randy Lowe took second place with 20.52 pounds. Brant Sims and Cody Sims placed third with 18.26 pounds. Randy Lowe took big bass with a 5.59-pounder.

Skeeter Coleman and Joe Frierson had 15.89 pounds to win the Lake Wales Po Boys Bass Club tournament Nov. 20 on Lake Istokpoga. Trever Stephens and Andrew Ready took second place with 12.80 pounds. Bobby Brannen and Darrell Rogers placed third with 11.94 pounds. Skeeter Coleman took big bass with a 6.87-pounder.

The next Wednesday Open Bass Series tournament is Nov. 23 on the Winter Haven North Chain out of Lake Haines. Entry fee is $30 per boat with 100% payback with exemptions. FWC rules apply. The next Florida Bass Club Survivor Series tournament is Dec. 3 on the Winter Haven Chain out of the Lake Rochelle ramp. Anglers must pay a one-time club membership fee of $50. Tourney entry fee is $100 per boat. Optional big bass side pot fee is $10 and optional big bag weight side pot fee is $20. The Central Florida Slay Nation Open Open Tournament is Dec. 3 on Crooked Lake out of the public ramp on Little Crooked Lake. The tourney is open to small vessels only. Kayaks, canoes and john boats with no gas powered vessels allowed. Launch is at 6:30 a.m. and the tourney ends at 2:30 p.m. Entry fee is $55 and anglers must pre-register at TourneyX. The ninth annual Toys for Tots 4-Man Team Open Tournament is Dec. 4.  at Lake Kissimmee out of the Camp Mack Guy Harvey Resort. Tournament fee is $260 per team. Anglers must fish as teams of four in two separate boats. Each angler is asked to please bring a new unwrapped toy for donation. The next Toho First Sunday of the Month Team Trail tournament is Dec. 4 on Lake Toho out of the city ramp. This tournament is open to the first 50 boats. The Fishing Misfits’ will host an open tournament Dec. 10 on Lake Parker out of the Lake Parker Park ramp. No boats allowed over 115 horsepower and no pro anglers or guides are permitted. The next Catch'em Crappie tournament, held by Hoppy’s Marine, is Dec. 10 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Port Hatchineha. Time is safe light to noon. Up to four anglers per boat with a $60 fee per boat, plus $5 ramp fee. Heaviest six fish go towards place prizes and big fish. The next Sunshine State Crappie Trail tournament is Dec. 10 at Lake George. One-time season membership fee is $50 and tournament entry fee is $100. The next Florida Crappie Club tournament is Dec. 17 on the Rodman Reservoir out of the Kenwood boat ramp. Entry fee is $60 per boat for seven fish aggregate and big fish. The next Kissimmee Bass Series Seniors tournament is Dec. 17 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Lester. Anglers must be at least 50-years-old and may fish as a team or solo.
