Five high school students place in student design competition

Area high school students competed recently in the Robert L. Polk Student Design Competition.

The annual event is sponsored by Kohler Architects, The Monroe County Home Builders Association and La-Z-Boy.

Seth Kreps of Ida High School placed first.

Other winners were: Damian Globensky of Ida High School, second; Reid Benware of Ida High School, third; Alex Noland of Ida High School, fourth, and Marjhorie Hernandez of Monroe High School, fifth.

Thirty-five projects were entered by students from Airport, Monroe, Bedford and Ida High Schools.

The judges were Mark Heller, David Swartout, Doug Mominee, Greg Kreps and Dick Wehrle.
