Five Injured in Explosion at Petrochemical Plant in Louisiana

Five people were injured in an explosion at a petrochemical plant in Sulphur, Louisiana, late on September 27, a state trooper at the scene told KPLC.

The explosion was reported to have happened at around 11 pm at Westlake Petrochemicals.

A unit used to produce ethylene was undergoing maintenance at the time, a spokesman told KPLC.
