YouTube is full of dramatic, over-the-top marriage proposals, but it’s also crammed with epic fails — sometimes the girl doesn’t say yes. Check out some of the most cringe-worthy ones below.

1. This guy starts off his proposal with, “She’s going to hate me for this. But she’s always been my favorite girlfriend.” Yes, yes she is going to hate you for this. In fact, she’s going to say, “no.”

3. This guy gets his friend to film the proposal — the friend listens to the practice “I love you” speech and offers candid feedback, “That’s so gay. But that’s ok, chicks dig that.” Well, not this chick.

4. Unrequited love: this guy meets, falls in love with, and proposes to “Sam” all in one day. “I don’t even know her middle or last name,” he says. Nope, and she won’t either. Rejected.
