Five Mitchell-area players selected to Future 50 elite camp
Jul. 26—SIOUX FALLS — Five area players were selected to the Future 50 elite camp at the Sanford Pentagon in SIoux Falls.
Mitchell's rising senior libero Lizzie Tyler, Platte/Geddes' rising juniors middle blocker Karly VanDerWerff and outside hitter Cadence VanZee, Kimball/White Lake rising senior outside hitter Dani Deffenbaugh and Burke's rising senior outside hitter Adisyn Indahl were all named to the roster.
The Future 50 showcases 50 of the best volleyball players in the state in front of different college coaches as organized by Adrenaline Volleyball.
Tyler has over 1,000 digs already and is approaching 1,000 assists, as well, with 938 so far. VanDerWerff has 1,135 kills, while VanZee has 895 kills in her career to go along with 148 aces. Deffenbaugh has posted 371 digs throughout her time so far with Kimball/White Lake. Indahl is at nearly 1,500 digs and is only 65 kills away from 1,000 as well.
