La Barra Del Taco brings authentic Mexican flare to West Pensacola
Craveable taco spots are not hard to find in Pensacola, but West Pensacola’s newest spot, La Barra Del Taco on 3811 W. Navy Blvd., is hoping to rise to the top of the list.
La Barra Del Taco, meaning "the taco bar," is all about creating a place where the street tacos are as authentic as you would find off the streets of Mexico, according to La Barra Del Taco Manager Leo Tores.
Whether it be the smell of hot charcoal lingering through the patio courtyard, or the Day of the Dead-inspired murals hand painted inside: the experience is intended to be as close to the real thing as possible.

Jeremiah's Italian Ice open in Navarre serving gelati cold desserts
Sun-soaked beach days in Navarre just got a little cooler with the official opening of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice at 1892 Andorra St. Unit C4 in the Publix Plaza.
If the neon “Greetings from Navarre” mural isn’t enough to put even lifelong locals into vacation mode, the rainbow swirled “gelatis” will.
The shop blends refreshing Italian ice with creamy frozen custard into one layered treat. Flavor combinations are nearly endless with over 40 rotating flavors of Italian ice to blend with a vanilla, chocolate or swirl custard. If you simply cannot make up your mind, there are free samples daily that help make the choice a little easier. Yes, they will let you try all of them.

Super Chix chicken and custard restaurant now open
Cordova Mall’s newest tenant, Super Chix, is now open, marking the franchise’s first location in Florida.
Super Chix is a chicken and frozen custard restaurant located between Chipotle Mexican Grill and Red Robin. And if you thought there was only one way to do chicken, think again.
Super Chix refers to its drive to make the perfect chicken sandwich as its ”obsession.” This obsession has led to the creation of “The Last True Chicken Sandwich,” along with 11 others variations of grilled and fried sandwiches on the menu.

City Limits Food Truck Park owners open first food truck, more planned
The City Limits Food Truck Park on 2200 W. Cervantes St. is still about a month away from opening, so in the meantime the park's owners are taking their culinary creations on the road.
The City Limits co-owners Donnie Deluna and Melvin Jacob debuted their first food truck, Something Asian, in late February as they await some final paperwork to open their food truck park for good.
Some of the core menu entrees include the Korean beef and the sweet and smoky Asian barbecue chicken. Deluna said they will be switching out other meats on a rotating basis while they are still getting started, including the Kalua pork and barbecue pork steak.

Long-awaited Gulf Breeze Chipotle opening soon
The Mexican grill has been a long-time desire for Gulf Breeze residents, especially after a fake "coming soon" sign was posted in 2018 in Gulf Breeze's Tiger Point Plaza complex. That's why when a sign reappeared on 725 Gulf Breeze Parkway in January 2022, there was speculation as to whether the restaurant was really coming.

It turns out, it was the real deal.
Although the restaurant is opening a few months past its goal of year-end 2022, signage is going up, the staff is being trained and the team was expected to greet its first burrito-lovers on March 31.
