Five pets killed in Superior Township house fire

CHIPPEWA COUNTY — A house fire that began Monday morning in Chippewa County's Superior Township has left five pet animals dead.

According to a report from 9 and 10 News, firefighters were called to respond to a residence at 11153 Lakeshore Dr. on the Bay Mills reservation at 7 a.m. No one was in the home at the time, but four pet dogs and one cat were inside and died in the fire.

Soo Township, Bay Mills Township and Dafter Township Volunteer fire departments responded to the fire.
