Five stories you may have missed last week

Good morning! I hope you had a pleasant week.

The major goal of our investigative work is to point out problems that need to be fixed so we can all build a better, safer community.

We keep the pressure on lawmakers to ensure problems are corrected. Sometimes this happens in days, other times years.

We have been pushing to for police officer licensing since publishing our 2018 ground-breaking expose on bad cops call "Protecting the Shield." We have called for this key reform with a number of investigative stories over the years.

I'm pleased to report that last week, the governor agreed it was time to license police officers so rogue cops can be banned from ever wearing a badge again. New Jersey is one of the few states that has no way of stopping bad cops from jumping to new departments. Read the full story in the first link, below.
