The Tigers didn’t have enough in the tank on Saturday.

LSU lost to Ole Miss 31-17, with Rebels quarterback Matt Corral playing the entire game even though it was speculated that he wouldn’t be healthy enough to play this weekend.

Garrett Nussmeier came into the game and went 7 for 12 for 103 yards and a touchdown. Could there potentially be some controversy brewing at the quarterback position, with Max Johnson having played inefficiently for two games now?

We will have to wait and see. I doubt with Orgeron heading out, he isn’t too desperate to win and make changes that could help that cause.

LSU ran for 77 yards on 35 attempts. That’s 2.2 yards per carry. Against one of the worst defenses in the SEC.

Is there a quarterback controversy brewing in Baton Rouge?

Garrett Nussmeier came in during garbage time and led a couple of solid drives. Max Johnson had three turnovers. For the second straight week, Johnson couldn’t eclipse more than 150 yards passing. Folks may want to see Nussmeier get some reps as the season wraps up.

Ole Miss had no pressure in the first half... and a lot in the second

Ole Miss had one sack in the first half. They had four in the second. LSU’s offensive line is back at it again.

A "questionable" Matt Corral couldn't be stopped...

Corral went 18 of 23 for 185 yards and a touchdown. He also had 24 yards rushing and a touchdown.

... Neither could the Ole Miss rushing attack
