A store that can fix consumer electronics — including smartphones, tablets, computers, game consoles, smart speakers and drones — opened in Menomonee Falls this summer..
But its repairs can go beyond even those electronics listed, said district manager Greg Sullivan.
"We fix anything with a power button," he said.
Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions opened July 29 at N95 W18419 County Line Road, Menomonee Falls. It is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Technicians have fix electronic items including vintage record players, a dashboard for a 2013 BMW, a VCR, old jukeboxes, older lamps and arcade video games.
"We will take a look at it with a free diagnosis," Sullivan said. "We will see if we can fix it."
One of Sullivan's professional highlights was being able to recover old photos of a customer's mother from a computer that had broken.
"She thought she lost them," said Sullivan. "We were able to pull all of the photos (from the old device). It is always good when you see a customer walk outside with a smile."
Sullivan said the company does a lot of data transferring. "Even if we cannot fix the computer, we can get the data," he said.
"We take any kind of challenge," he emphasized.
According to a news release, the store's technicians fix all kinds of technology, regardless of make or model. The store is an authorized repair provider for Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones. There is also a one-year limited warranty on all repairs.
There are more than 750 Asurion stores nationwide. In the greater Milwaukee area, there are stores in Brookfield, Whitefish Bay, Wauwatosa, West Bend and Milwaukee.
