Flag unfurled, U.S. military remembers 9/11

An American flag was unfurled as the sun rose at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia on the morning of the 18th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

On September 11, 2001, the headquarters of the U.S. military was hit by American Airlines flight 77, hijacked by a team from al Qaeda. 125 people were killed at the Pentagon out of a total of 2,977 who perished in coordinated attacks on the day.
