Flames Leap From Hillside as Wildfire Spreads in California's Big Sur

A wildfire that started in California’s Big Sur region on Friday, January 21, and prompted evacuation orders had burned through 1,050 acres by Sunday morning, officials said.

The Colorado Fire, burning near Palo Colorado Canyon in Monterey County, was 25-percent contained as of Sunday morning, Cal Fire said.
