Flash flood warning issued for Cameron Peak Fire burn scar in Larimer County
A thunderstorm in central Larimer County has prompted the National Weather Service to expand and extend several flash flood warnings for the Cameron Peak Fire burn scar Wednesday.
Here are the warnings due to heavy rain in the areas that require people to move to higher ground immediately:
Until 7:15 p.m.: Masonville and to the west to north of Drake
Until 6:15 p.m. Glen Haven north to Pennock Pass and from near Red Feather Lakes to Rustic
Affected areas include:
Masonville
Moondance Way
Stringtown Gulch
Big Bear
Lower Buckhorn Road on County Road 27 above Masonville
Glen Haven
Gulches along Colorado Highway 14 above Rustic
Rustic
Goodell Corner
Bellaire Lake
Manhattan Creek
Elkhorn Creek
South Lone Pine Creek
Columbine Creek
Dry Creek
Pennock Pass (upper Rist Canyon)
Pingree Park Road
Sky Ranch
Crown Point Road
Jacks Gulch
Box Prairie
Poudre Springs
Monument Gulch
Much of this area was severely burned during the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire.

It is the second consecutive day part of the burn scar has been under a flash flood warning. The western part of the scar was under a flash flood warning Tuesday.
