Flash flood warning issued for Cameron Peak Fire burn scar, includes Red Feather Lakes
A portion of the Cameron Peak Fire burn scar in Larimer County is under a flash flood warning until 5 p.m. Sunday.
The National Weather Service warned that "excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow," which can include rock, mud, vegetation and other loose debris, in the warning area.
That area includes the north central portions of the Cameron Peak Fire burn scar, with Rustic and Red Feather Lakes expected to experience flash flooding. That includes:
Lower Pingree Park Road
Gulches along Colorado Highway 14 near and above Rustic
Rising water and debris in the Poudre River, Pingree Hill, Goodell Corner, Bellaire Lake and Crown Point Road

Lone Pine Creek
Cache la Poudre River
Elkhorn Creek
South Lone Pine Creek
Manhattan Creek
South Fork Cache la Poudre River
Killpecker Creek
Dry Creek
Little Beaver Creek
Bennett Creek
"Move to higher ground now," the weather service warned. "Act quickly to protect your life."
