COSHOCTON — The second of a three part summer concert series was held Saturday on Main Street with about 2,500 people in attendance.

Fleetwood Mac Mania, a tribute act to one of the most successful rock bands of all time, performed some of the group's biggest hits. This included several songs off of "Rumors," one of the best selling albums ever.

The band is comprised of Connie Scriver filling the Christine McVie role, Jenn Taylor, who doubles for Stevie Nicks, Jeremy Stimers in the Lindsey Buckhingham role and Eddie Cromwell manning the drums like Mick Fleetwood. The current lineup has been together about 10 years.

The act will be back in Ohio on Sept. 9 in Middletown at the Sorg Opera House. They also have several shows planned later in the year in Canada with other performances in Griffith, Indiana, and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Earlier in the day in and around the Coshocton Court Square was the annual Three River Fire District Car Show.

The first concert of the series was Double Vision, a tribute band to Foreigner, on June 25. It drew about 2,000 people. An art and artisan pop-up market with the Coshocton Art Guild was held in conjunction with the show.

The final show of the series will be ERNEST at 8 p.m. Aug. 5 on Main Street across from the Coshocton County Courthouse. First Farm Friday will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature displays, farm machinery and animals. Food will be for sell by Real McCoy BBQ, Sno Shack, several 4-H clubs and others.

Country singer Ernest K. Smith, usually billed as just ERNEST, has written songs for Morgan Wallen, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and Chris Lane among others. His song "Flower Shops" with Wallen peaked at 13 earlier this year on the U.S. County Top 40 charts by Billboard. "Flower Shops (The Album)" peaked at 12. It's ERNEST's second album on the Big Loud label, the first was "Locals Only" in 2019.

The summer concert series is being spearheaded by Our Town Coshocton and Councilman Chad Johnson. They hope to continue the series next summer with more show dates. The series has been made possible via a $40,000 grant from the Charles E. and Dorothy S. Bechtol Fund of the Coshocton Foundation and other donations.

"For the last year and a half OTC has endeavored to bring the historic downtown up to pace with Roscoe Village in terms of providing a vibrant location for entertainment and dining," said OTC Director Lanny Spaulding. "In that we have been successful and are extremely pleased to have seen the crowds migrate to Whitewoman Street after the concert concluded. By all accounts, everyone won, especially our community and visitors to Coshocton last Saturday."
