Flights Delayed as Suspicious Vehicle Forces Parts of LAX to Close

Flights were delayed and parts of LAX Airport were forced to close on June 22, as police investigated a ‘suspicious vehicle’ that was left unattended.

Traffic into LAX was diverted to the lower arrivals area, while authorities, including LAPD’s Bomb Squad, investigated the truck, according to the airport.

This footage filmed by Ozeph Charif shows large crowds of travelers gathering outside the airport, after they were forced to evacuate the building.

Police later cleared the vehicle that was causing a security issue and reopened the area. Credit: Ozeph Charif via Storyful
