Flint man in serious condition after 3-vehicle crash in Tyrone Twp

TYRONE TWP. A Flint man was transported to the hospital in serious condition Thursday following a three-vehicle crash in Tyrone Township.

Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to the crash at the intersection of Runyan Lake Road and White Lake Road.

A preliminary investigation showed a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling north on Runyan Lake Road when it failed to stop at the intersection at White Lake Road and was struck by a 2019 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Police say the collision caused the Cruze to cross the center line into the other lane, where it was struck by a 2015 GMC Yukon.

The driver of the Cruze, a 32-year-old Flint man, had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel. He was transported to Genesys Hospital by Livingston County EMS in serious condition. It's unknown if he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Trailblazer, a 66-year-old Fenton woman, and the driver of the GMC Yukon, a 57-year-old Fenton woman, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment on scene.
