If Saturday's football showdown between Texas and Alabama serves as a sneak-preview of the Longhorns' upcoming move to the Southeastern Conference, perhaps it's fitting that the accompanying Longhorn City Limits concert will feature Flo Rida.

The Miami rapper, known for smash-hit collaborations with T-Pain, Kesha and others, will perform at the LBJ Library Lawn adjacent to Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium after the end of the Texas-Alabama game, which kicks off at 11 a.m. An opening set, likely to begin around 3 p.m., will feature longtime Austin favorite DJ Mel. Admission is free.

Flo Rida first gained widespread attention with his chart-topping 2007 single "Low," which featured T-Pain. More collaborations followed with will.i.am (2008's "In the Ayer"), Kesha (2009's "Right Round") and David Guetta (2010's "Club Can't Handle Me"), among others. He hasn't released a full-length album since 2012's "Wild Ones," which included the top-10 hits "Whistle," "Good Feeling," "I Cry" and the title track (a collaboration with Sia).

Flo Rida's last Austin concert was at Germania Insurance Amphitheater in 2019. He also performed at Rodeo Austin that year.

Longhorn City Limits concerts are part of the University of Texas' extensive game-day activities at or near the stadium. The UT campus will be buzzing this weekend with crews from both ESPN and Fox Sports on-hand for the rematch of the 2009 college football championship game.
