Flood victims rescued in China's Fuzhou after typhoon

STORY: Footage from the Fuzhou Fire Department showed residents being ferried across the city’s flooded roads, where the outer reaches of Typhoon Talim had caused heavy rainfall, according to the Fujian Meteorological Bureau.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the videos as Fuzhou, Fujian province, China from the nearby buildings, signage and which matched satellite and file imagery of the area.

Talim, the first typhoon to make landfall in China this year, struck the coast late on Monday night in Guangdong province, quickly weakening into a tropical storm. It is expected to dissipate and move into northern Vietnam, according to China's Meteorological Administration.
