Floodwater Rushes Down Street in Alicante as Heavy Rain Hits Eastern Spain

Severe flooding hit parts of eastern Spain on Thursday, September 12, with close to four times the monthly average of rain falling in just 24 hours, according to local meteorological reports.

Two people were killed in Caudette, in the Albacete region, according to El Pais, and dozens of people had to be evacuated as a result of the flooding.
