Florida Gators’ 2022 football schedule released
The Florida Gators’ 2022 football schedule opens with three consecutive home games but closes with a heavy dose of road trips and back-to-back games against Georgia and at Texas A&M.
The Gators open SEC play Sept. 10 at home against Kentucky before going on the road two weeks later to Tennessee. It’s the Gators’ lone game outside of the state until November.
The trade-off is a brutal five-game stretch that starts against Georgia on Halloween weekend. Three of the Gators’ final four games are on the road: at Texas A&M (Nov. 5), at Vanderbilt (Nov. 19) and at Florida State (Nov. 26).
The SEC opponents have been known for years, but the order of opponents had not yet been revealed until Tuesday evening.
UF’s non-conference schedule was previously announced, including home games against USF and Utah. The Football Championship Subdivision opponent is Eastern Washington, where former coach Jim McElwain went to school and began his coaching career.
Kickoff and TV information will be announced closer to the games. The ACC and AAC typically announce their schedules in the winter.
