Troopers said the crash happened just after 7 a.m. on Ocoee Apopka Road near Demastus Lane.

Investigators determined that the driver of a Honda CR-V, traveling northbound on Ocoee Apopka Road, lost control and traveled across the roadway and onto the southbound shoulder.

That’s where a Ford F-150 pickup truck was parked with its driver and a passenger standing outside the truck, for an unknown reason.

After the Honda came to rest, investigators said its driver and passenger ran away from the crash site.

Troopers said Orange County sheriff’s deputies took them into custody a short time later.
