TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was arrested Sunday after he led a chase across two counties, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said a deputy spotted Timothy Breedlove, 25, of Altamonte Springs driving a car with an expired registration on SR-415.
When the deputy tried to pull the driver over, Breedlove began speeding and weaving through traffic, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said the pursuit came to an end in Sanford when they deployed a stop stick, causing the car’s passenger tires to fall off the rims.
“Two young children were in the back seat during the incident,” the sheriff’s office said. “They were upset but not injured. Their mother, who was in the passenger seat, told deputies she asked Breedlove to stop and think about the children’s safety.”
Breedlove faces charges of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, two counts of aggravated child abuse, three counts of false imprisonment, and driving with a suspended license.
