Florida man pleads guilty to St. James Parish rape
ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Florida man has pled guilty to a rape charge in St. James Parish.
The Office of District Attorney Ricky Babin reported that 58-year-old Randy Nicholas pled guilty to forcible rape on Tuesday, Feb. 21, after entering a plea agreement in connection with a multi-agency investigation.

According to court documents, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida about a rape in the parish in March of 2021 during an investigation in Florida.
Following an interview with the victim, St. James Parish deputies issued a warrant for Nicholas’ arrest.
Nicholas entered a plea agreement on Tuesday and was sentenced to “25 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.”
