Florida primary election 2022: See results from Bay County voting

Florida voters head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the 2022 primary and nonpartisan general elections.

In local races, Frances Keys Gordon and Ann Leonard are running for the District 2 seat on the Bay District School Board. Running unopposed in school board races are Christopher Moore in District 3 and Steve Moss in District 5.

County Commissioners Robert Carroll and Doug Moore are running unopposed in Districts 2 and 4, respectively.

William Dyer is unopposed for Bay County Judge Group 3.

David Dean faces no opposition for Seat 2 of the Lake Powell Residential Golf Community Development District and Frank Self is unopposed for Seat 5.

When do polls open and close on Election Day?

Polling locations in Florida are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will be permitted to cast their ballot.

Can I register to vote on Election Day in Florida?

Florida does not allow same-day voter registration. The deadline to register to vote is 29 days prior to the election. For the Aug. 23 primary, the last day to register was July 25.

Do I need ID to vote?

To vote in Florida, you must present a valid photo ID with signature. Here's what's accepted:

  • Florida driver’s license

  • Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

  • United States passport

  • Debit or credit card

  • Military identification

  • Student identification

  • Retirement center identification

  • Neighborhood association identification

  • Public assistance identification

  • Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs

  • License to carry a concealed weapon or firearm issued pursuant to s. 790.06

  • Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county, or a municipality

According to the Florida Division of Elections, you can still vote on a provisional ballot if you don't bring proper ID. As long as you are eligible and voted in the proper precinct, your provisional ballot will count, provided the signature on your provisional ballot matches the signature in your registration record.
