Florida State football: Auburn transfer OL Keiondre Jones commits to Seminoles

For the third time in as many days, Florida State football added a major piece to their offensive line via the transfer portal.

Keiondre Jones, an offensive line transfer from Auburn, committed to the Seminoles on Tuesday at noon.

Jones, who is listed at 6-foot-4, 340 pounds on Auburn’s official website, joins Colorado's Casey Roddick and UTEP's Jeremiah Byers as OL to transfer in for the Seminoles.

The LaGrange, Ga. native will have a shot to compete for a starting position at an offensive guard position in 2023 with left guard Dillan Gibbons and right guard D'Mitri Emmanuel exhausting their eligibility.

In 2021, Jones earned a spot on the PFF 2021 College Football All-SEC third team.

Jones was a backup at right guard this past season, making starts against Penn State and Alabama. He posted a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 53.0 while being more of a rotational piece for the Tigers.

According to 247Sports, Jones was a 4-star recruit coming out of Callaway High School in Hogansville, Ga. in the 2019 recruiting cycle. He was the 16th-rated offensive guard and the 27th-best prospect in Georgia.

Offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Alex Atkins played a role in getting Jones to Tallahassee.

Along with Jones, Byers and Roddick FSU now has commitments from three other transfers: Defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. (Miami), and tight ends Jaheim Bell (South Carolina) and Kyle Morlock (Shorter University).
