Florida State football lands commitment from first 2025 recruit in DL Hardison

Florida State just picked up its first commitment in the 2025 recruiting class.

DL Hardison, a sophomore wide receiver from Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie, announced his verbal pledge to the Seminoles via Twitter late Wednesday night.

Rivals, 247Sports and On3 have yet to rank recruits in the 2025 class. But Hardison has already received scholarship offers from several top programs, including Texas A&M, Tennessee and Penn State. FSU hosted Hardison on an unofficial visit in March.

247Sports lists Hardison at 5-foot-9, 150 pounds on his recruiting profile.

The Seminoles have 15 recruits committed to their 2023 class, which ranks in the top 25 nationally on 247Sports (17), On3 (17) and Rivals.

FSU's 2024 class, which holds six pledges, comes in at No. 2 (247Sports), No. 3 (Rivals) and No. 7 (On3).
