2023 three-star linebacker DeMarco Ward committed to Florida State on Tuesday, June 28, two days after concluding his official visit.

For the second time in three days, Florida State has added a commitment to its 2023 class.

Three-star linebacker DeMarco Ward out of Duluth (Ga.) High announced his pledge to the Seminoles Tuesday afternoon.

His announcement comes two days after his official visit to FSU concluded Sunday, his only official visit to date. It comes three months after he visited FSU for Junior Day back in March and got his scholarship offer a few days later.

Ward chose the Seminoles over an offer list that includes Louisville, UCF, Memphis, Duke and Kansas.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker is currently ranked as the No. 103 linebacker and the No. 107 player from Georgia in the 2023 class according to 247Sports' rankings.

As a junior for Duluth, Ward had 78 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception in nine games.

Ward is the ninth member of FSU's 2023 class, but he's the first linebacker in the class to commit to new position coach Randy Shannon. He boosts FSU's class from 49th to 43rd in the 247Sports class rankings.
