Florida State football is back following a much-needed bye week.

This will the first matchup between the two stories programs since 2020 and just the fourth since 2012.

The Yellow Jackets have won two in a row in the series and four of the last five.

FSU is looking to bounce back to the form it had during a 4-0 start to the season, which earned the program its first ranking since the preseason of 2018.

Georgia Tech lost last week 16-9 to Virginia, but have gone 2-1 since the firing of head coach Geoff Collins.

Here are three Seminoles' players to know as the team enters the final stretch of the 2022 season.

Wide receiver Mycah Pittman

Pittman has been a playmaker for the Seminoles this season, being third on the team with 266 yards on 22 receptions and three touchdowns.

He had his worst statistical game of the season last time out against Clemson, catching one pass for six yards.

Pittman hasn't yet had his big breakout game, yet, crossing 100 yards receiving. This week could be his opportunity for that kind of game.

Punt return is another phase Pittman can be a playmaker in. On the season, he has a 74.0 Pro Football Focus punt return grade. He broke a season-high 34 yard punt against Clemson, but was tackled by the punter.

Analysis: Five concerns Florida State football needs to address to ensure a strong finish

Defensive back Jammie Robinson

Robinson has shown improvement as a defender with a 78.2 PFF defensive grade this season, but one aspect of his skillset has been lacking this season: forcing turnovers.

Last season, Robinson tied for the ACC lead and was 14th nationally with four interceptions. He also recovered two fumbles, performing as a major playmaker for the Seminoles' defense.

Robinson only has one forced turnover, an interception against NC State, this season. As a team, FSU has four interceptions and four fumble recoveries, ranking No. 99 in turnovers forced.

Turnovers are going to be needed for the Seminoles to finish the season on a strong note. Robinson is the player who could turn fortunes for the team.

Defensive tackle Fabien Lovett

Lovett is a game-time decision for the game, according to head coach Mike Norvell. He has been practicing in limited form throughout the week, so even if he plays, it could be on a snap count.

But Lovett is a difference maker when he is on the field. He last played against LSU before suffering a lower leg injury on the final drive. Special teams coordinator/defensive line coach John Papuchis mentioned Lovett had surgery.

The Seminoles rank No. 84 nationally in rushing yards allowed per game (157). The team is hoping Lovett's return can alleviate at least some of the struggles.
