The 15th edition of the Sunshine Showdown has been postponed for the first time.

The Florida vs. Florida State baseball game scheduled for Tuesday at 121 Financial Ballpark was postponed due to threatening weather and will be played on May 2.

Any guests unable to attend due to the date change may request a refund and are encouraged to contact their primary point of purchase.  Fans who purchased directly through ticketmaster.com can log into their Ticketmaster account to request a refund through the website.

Refunds will be processed in the order they are received and ticket holders should allow 30 business days to receive refund.

The Gators (22-4) and Seminoles (12-12) have met one time in Jacksonville since 2007, except for 2020 and 2021 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. They also play once each at their campus stadiums. UF beat FSU 9-5 two weeks ago in Tallahassee and will play in Gainesville on April 11.

Both teams resume their conference schedules with three-game sets beginning Friday. FSU will play at Miami and Florida plays host to Auburn.
