Florida Withdraws From Electronic Registration Information Center

Florida is joining other GOP-led states like Missouri and West Virginia and ending its membership with the electronic registration information center, also known as ERIC. Secretary of State Cord Byrd said the decision was made because of data privacy and “blatant partisanship.” But supporters of the ERIC are speaking out against the decision. “It’s really just straight bipartisan/non-partisan election integrity,” said Brad Ashwell, Florida director of All Voting is Local.
