People gathered outside Windsor Castle in Berkshire on April 9 after the Royal Family announced the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

A statement on the Royal Family’s website said: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”
